Paths to Deportation

The paths that persecuted Jews were forced to follow usually led through compulsory ghettoization in “Jew-Houses” or other collection points to detention centers and/or railroad stations in Berlin, from which they were deported to death camps in the East. The route attempts to retrace their steps, although no such attempt at reconstruction can convey the traumatic experiences suffered by those affected.
